Recognizing the top performing songs on Christian radio in 2016, the ceremony presented ASCAP songwriters and publishers with recognition. Lowry and Mattson (of the band Unspoken) were honored for writing the band’s impactful song, “Call It Grace,” which hit the National Christian Audience chart’s Top 10 songs. Diaz was honored for his single “Breathe,” which claimed the #2 spot on the NCA chart, in addition to being named the 2016 Song of the Year from both WAY-FM and K-LOVE radio stations.
